Question about Capitol building..

I'd like to know whether I still need a ticket to enter DC Capitol building if I just want to look abound inside of Capitol building by myself,instead of joinning a tour? Appreciate your help...

You can't "just look around". Only guided tours are allowed - and serious security.

http://www.aoc.gov/cc/visit/index.cfm has all the info you need.

We really enjoyed the tour given by our Senator's office. You might want to contact your Senators or Congressperson's office websites to see what they might offer.

I e-mailed our congresswoman to arrange a tour prior to our May 2004 trip to DC, and we had a terrific young man in her office take us around the capitol. We also arranged to visit the Supreme Court the same day. Since they're close together it worked well.
