Maui in January

THANKS for helping us! We know little about Maui but would like to rent a newer 1 or 2 bedroom/ 2 bath condo in the Winter months. Close to tourist locations/beach/ nice pool ....amenities .... tennis....near golf....We have no idea where to begin. What would be a fair price per month? We truly appreciate your help!

We have stayed north of Kanapaali in Honokawai, but the condos were built in the 1970s. No A/C. I have been to Hawaii 6 times and have never had a/c. If one stays near Kanapaali, then you are near Lahaina.

Friends just stayed for several week near Wailea in the Ekolu Village rentals. Looked very nice! Check VRBO, Air BnB, etc. Lots of rental sights online.

Hi! Dont know much about Maui, but from my experience a room at a nice hotel costs around $300 / night. By the way if you are planning to spend several days in Honolulu, feel free to ask me (classic sights / food / instaspots)

On our way to Kihei in February for our 4th trip. We have stayed in Kaanapali and Kihei and loved both. Kihei is more like a real town. Kaanapali is a tourist wonderland ( a well designed one). If we could afford it we would stay in Wailea which sounds like just what you're looking for. However there are no "fair" prices for Maui rentals. Nice 2 bedroom condos start around 400 a night in Kihei. Wailea is probably twice as much.

You can find a decent hotel room on Oahu in Waikiki for $300/night. I believe Maui and especially for a 2 bed/2 bath condo is going to be a LOT more. My recommendation for the TA forums stands.
