Maui condo with kids

We are taking the kids to Maui next Christmas for 2 weeks. We need a 2 or 3 bedroom on a nice beach. We are looking at the Kahuna Sunset and also the Maui Kamaole or Kam. Sands. Does anyone have any thoughts on these condos or other suggestions? We want to be on a good swimming beach that isn't too crowded. Thanks.

We always stay in a 2 bedroom condo at the Polo Beach Club on Makena Beach. Going for the third time in June!

Imm, the Maui Revealed is the best book for choosing a beach.

Maui is the most expensive Hawaiian island. Food is expensive on Maui, and lodging is too.

Aloha!

Christmas is the by far the most expensive time of year in Hawaii. I suspect you'll find that the weather and beaches are better in Kihei, where the Kams are. The Kams and other southern beaches are great swimming and snorkeling beaches. Kihei is also a lively town with many restaurants, shops, and activities.

The Makena Surf has a great swimming beach that is very private so is never crowded. Great spot to snorkel from, too.
