Marriott in Northeast

My husband and I have a free weekend at any Marriott (level 1 though level 4) that we must use by December 31st, 2002. We live in Albany, NY and want to do a weekend trip within driving distance. Unfortunately, NYC is out because there are no Marriotts at that level in the City. We’ve done Boston (last summer) but are not opposed to doing it again. We’d like to travel about 5-6 hours maximum. Any recommendations? We’ve also been to Montreal (last summer) and do not want to do that again right now. Thanks!

How about Portland, ME?? I'm assuming that there is a Marriott there. Very cool, small city. Walk around the Old Port, drive up and down the coast for some great views. Visit Freeport and LLBean. I would say it would take you 5ish hours from the Albany area via I-90/495/95.

I'm using a couple of my free weekend stays with Marrriott in Maine and Buffalo. Both should be within your timeframe.

Why not a Marriott "downstate" like Fishkill or Poughkeepsie? Then take the train into NYC. You could also spend time in the Hudson Valley/Catskill area as well.
