We stayed there a few years back and had a great time. What I remember most about the hotel was the common areas - they were beautiful. I believe, since that time, they have put in a new pool. The beach is also pristine. Hope that helps.

You can do a search here and find a lot of reports on it. Generally speaking people have been happy with it. It is a big convention/resort hotel and whether or not there is a convention at the time you're there might have something to do with your overall enjoyment.
The whole place was totally renovated in the past couple of years, and continues to have the most to offer of the handful of resort type hotels on Marco.

As usual, Patrick is correct! There's lots of info on this board.
I stayed at this resort once for pleasure and once last year for business.
I would certainly recommend it..the beach is great..I love sitting out there and watching the pelicans and dolphins go by. The pool is nice and there was a new pool last year. The rooms are spacious. We had one right overlooking the beach which we enjoyed very much.
The only downside that I could see is that check in is later than most hotels since this is such a big resort. If you come prepared with your stuff to sit by the pool for a couple of hours this would be no big deal. Both times I had to wait for a couple of hours for my room.
The other is that the general parking is across the street - this is also not a big deal but when it's hot..well it's a hot walk. However, you can use valet parking as well so I guess I am being real picky!!

I stayed there about 4 years ago for work, so I imagine that was before the renovation. It was still pretty nice. Right on the beach and nice pool areas. The spa was kind of pathetic (I had a massge in what seemed to be a glorified closet) but that may have improved since I was there.
