We stayed there shortly after they opened in 2008. It was very nice. Good food and great service. The pools were very nice and the rooms were nice and spacious. We are more "pool" than beach people, but from what I remember the beach was one of the nicer ones in the area. It was large and not overly crowded.

I would definitely recommend it!

TPAYT Hello,

We stayed there August of 08 and thoroughly enjoyed everything about this resort, especially that it was adults only. We had a golden jr. suite, beautiful room with balcony overlooking the swim up pool, great food, nice sandy beach, great pool, can't really say enough good about the whole experience. Not much night life other than drinks and rather lame shows but very relaxing. We are returning in early May and have booked the same room type, we're really looking forward to it.

We've been to several resorts in the RM area but this was our first adults only and now we're spoiled.

Thanks so much for your comments. As we travel often, we are slow to chose and try to get as much info as possible. This does look like the place for us.

This resort is lovely! It's definitly one of my favorites! The beach is quite large with tons of chairs. The resort is new and has beautiful lush vegetation. The service is top notch and the rooms gorgeous!

Thanks for the posts. We have booked the Valentin Maya for the beginning of March. I'll definitely post a trip report when we return.
