Any companies with private drivers with a van? Subways, taxis? What about transporting 9 persons to and from JFK? arrvive sat 11p,depart wed 9am? thanks

Best way to Yankee Stadium is the uptown 4 train from Grand Central. Same for Battery Park, except you want the downtown 4 or 5.

Subway or walking is usually your best bet for getting around midtown, or any of the tourist destinations in Manhattan. The bus is another option and better than the subway for going crosstown (east-west), but slow due to traffic.

You will need at least two cabs for 9 people. The legal limit is 4 people per cab, but some drivers may let you squeeze in an extra kid. No gurantees.

Call a car service for the airport - TelAviv, Carmel, there are a bunch of them.

Allan is correct,

Subways/walking are your best bet. An 8 year old is too big to be hidden as the fifth person in a cab - and few drivers are willing to risk a sumons for packing in 5 people.

For the airport suggest you organize a car service - but be sure you tell them how many people/how much luggage you have so they send a vehicle big enough.

For the stadium either take the subway - or, if the weather is good, the boat. You can find info on this on yankees.com - did it once several years ago and it was fun - but don;t know the details now.

Walk to Gr. Central Terminal - 42nd and Lexington. Follow signs to the subway.
Yankee Stadium - take #4 train UPTOWN to 161st Street station. This is the first station you come to that is above ground. Trip will take about 20 minutes. It is safe going and returning.
Battery Park - take #4 or #5 train DOWNTOWN to Bowling Green Station. Trip will take less than 20 minues.
Cost will be $2 a person and trip will be faster than using a taxi or a car service.

Up to three children 44 inches tall and under ride for free when accompanied by a fare paying adult on the subway. So the height of these various children factor into your decision.

For getting to/from JFK, I would contact Crown limo (1800mycrown.com) and find out what they suggest and how much it would be. Their stretch limos for 6 are usually cheaper than the less expensive cos. charge for a minivan but don't know about a car for 9. I think there may be times when it would be easier/cheaper for the 2 families to split up.
