MANDALAY PARTY!

Hi All,

Going to Vegas in May. Wondered is there
are any opinions out there about two people in their 50's going to stay at Mandalay Bay.

We love to dance, but wondered if there are
way too many "under 25's" there. (Don't want to be out of place)

Also, any opinions on the restaurants there
would be appreciated.

Thanks

I can't give you any entertainment suggestions about Mandalay Bay (we stayed at TheHotel/Mandalay Bay last summer with our two teens--strictly family fun that trip!) but I can tell you that as a '40 something, I didn't feel a bit out of place there. We saw people from their 20's to their 60's there having a great time.

The pool area is great--have a fabulous trip!

My Grandmother was explaining to me over brunch on Sunday how it is now.....50 is the new 40...60 is the new 50, and on and on....Makes sense to me....Dont be a bit concerned about being "out of place"....ANYWHERE in LV.Even at the Palms....I did some serious people watching last month there and the casino and lobby areas were full of every age group. There may be fashion police, but no age police.Have a blast!!

Hmm...we went to Mandalay Bay as a group of 23 year-olds a few years ago. The population in the hotel is very diverse, age-wise. The clubs are definitely young 20's, but I think the lounges are a little more mellow and attracted an older crowd. You will love MB. The hotel is so massive that any one age group can't dominate it.

Thanks everyone.

We are definately the "new 40", and feel better after reading your replys.

Perhaps we'll head to the lounges!

No you are fine, really the only hotel/casino in Vegas that is for 20 somethings is the Palms and maybe the Hard Rock. The restaurants at MB are great. Aureole is very nice and even if you don't eat there you have to go inside to see the "wine angels", very cool!! China Grill is very good and Lupo for Italian also great! Charlie Palmer's Steakhouse right there at the 4 Seasons which is on top of MB. Also if you have never seen Mamma Mia it is well worth going to see. My DH and I went when the show first opened at MB, he did NOT want to go at all, but by the end of it he was up dancing. My opinion is that it is one of the best shows in town.

What???? I wouldn't think twice about age, it's only a question of how much you're willing to pay for your room!
