Mandalay BayTHE Hotel in July - ???

What do I need to know? We're there for one night, me and 13 yr old son. Never been to LV before. Do we try/avoid the pool? Can we walk everywhere from MB THEHotel? What's the one thing we must do?

The MB is quite a long walk from most other sights. It's at the end of the strip, and walking will be very hot in July. The pool is huge, and will be crowded and again, HOT!

okay. thanks. that's important to know. what's good, possibly legendary, well located, outstanding service, but not 2,500 rooms or more?

Caesars Palace is central with good pools. I also like the Venetian. Not sure if the Bellagio takes kids...

Yes, the Bellagio takes kids. I think they've even changed their former policy, and kids who are not staying there are allowed on premises now, but probably only with adults.

horizon - I've seen several of your posts, and you don't seem to have familiarized yourself with Vegas yet, so it looks like you're randomly choosing hotels that you have no idea what they're like. Check out some good sites that discuss all the options and that should help you choose. You could start here:
