Magic Kingdom for a 4 yo
Hello. We're heading to the Magic Kingdom with our 4 yo. Can anyone suggest some of the rides/shows to see while we are there. Already on our list is Its a Small World, the parade and breakfast at the castle. Haaunted mansion is out. What else can we do?

Tom Sawyer's Island is nice -- it is a walking path in the woods, with a playground/fort at the end. There is a pleasant tram ride in Future World (up high, it just goes on a tour around the park.) Maybe the jungle boat tour, but there is a lot of sitting. Swiss Family Robinson ok.
If your kid is like mine was years ago, you will be seeing Small World about 50 times, over and over.
In MGM land you should check out Micky's house. And the squirting fountains in Epcot are cool.

Dinner at the German restaurant in Epcot. Some kid friendly food and my then 4 yo enjoyed the show. Definitly Mickey and Minnie's house - get there early, most of the older kids go for the excitement first thing so the little kid stuff isn't so crowded. Be prepared to wait very long for a very short Dumbo ride but it is a "must do" for 4 yo's.

A favorite for all ages is Buzz Lightyear. Each car has 4 "laser guns" that you shoot at targets along the whole ride. You get points for each one you hit. It's one of our family favorites.
Another must for a 4 year old is the Winnie the Pooh ride. Just adorable!!

When he was that age, my nephew loved Mickey's Toontown Fair. That area has Donald's Boat, a roller coaster for little kids, Mickey and Minnie's houses (very clever and colorful) and an air-conditioned (!!) building where you can meet characters.
In Fantasyland, Dumbo, Peter Pan, Winnie, and Small World were big favorites.
Agree that Tom Sawyer's Island is great for that age and Buzz Lightyear, too. New to the Tomorrowland area is Monsters Inc Laugh Floor - I was there a few months ago, and all ages were enjoying it.

You know your 4-year old best, but except for Space Mountain (due to height), pretty much all the rides at the Magic Kingdom are good for that age. My 3 and 5 year olds also dislike Haunted Mansion, but they both love Thunder Mountain and Splash Mountain. Pirates of the Caribbean are alot of fun and it's a classic. They loved to meet the characters from Toy Story, the Jungle Cruise, Peter Pan, Dumbo. You mention breakfast at the castle, so maybe you have a girl? Magic Kingdom is an awesome park for that age, and I don't think you will have any trouble keeping busy for a day. The fireworks are awesome.
If you have a girl into princesses, I think the meal at Norway in Epcot, if you visit, is excellent, with many princesses and pretty good food.
