I checked into it a bit last week.
Looks like it's on the up and up to me.
Many of the properties are very nice places and I will bet the operation is not much different than Hotel Res Network and the others, but better than Priceline and Hotwire because you know EXACTLY what you're getting.

Used them 2X's with no problems at all booking dates. Was treated wonderfully by the staff & hotel, when I stayed at the Kapalua Bay hotel in Maui I even received some extra perks like a gigantic bowl of fresh fruit upon arrival and a nice note thanking us for choosing their hotel in addition to our package. If you have specific dates in mind you may want to call the hotel manager before you bid & tell them you are looking to book through luxurylink; many hotels are running numerous rooms through auction so they know exactly what you're talking about. 5 stars for me.

Just keep a close eye on the auction prices. People tend to get carried away and sometimes end up paying a higher rate than if you just booked directly with the hotel. Check the prices first so you don't overbid! Also check the dates so you are sure you can use the package the time of year you want to go - I almost won an auction that I couldn't use, the dates were for after our vacation! Very nice properties though and you might get lucky.

We've "won" two trips through Luxury Link. You must know what you want in terms of accomodations, location, ammenities and type of room. You should also compare the packages to deals directly through the properties or cruise line. For example, I looked at a cruise offering and found the same package on the cruise ship's web site for $500 less. Now this is not the fault of Luxury Link, but rather of the cruise line who provided the inventory.
On the other hand the first trip we "won" to D.C. was an amazing deal and we were delighted. The second trip is to our favorite Carribean isalnd St. Barths and is an incredible deal at a fabulous property.
And finally, I have to say that the staff at Luxury Link are wonderful, helpful and accomodating.
If you're a saavy travel shopper and know what you want and don't get carried away with bidding, then this is a GREAT site with some amazing deals.
