Los Angeles to Las Vegas to Phoenix
We are flying into LAX on 3/26. We need to be in Las Vegas by 3/30 and will be flying out of Phoenix airport on 4/3. We are traveling by car with a 5 and 7 year old and are looking for a fun intinerary to include both amusement parks and national parks. Suggested itineraries would be appreciated. Thank you.

So, do you mean things to do IN Los Angeles for 3 days, IN Las Vegas for a couple of days, and IN Phoenix? Not really clear, but between Los Angeles and Las Vegas, there's nothing to do -- just 4-5 hours of driving. From Las Vegas to Phoenix, if you had enough time, you could sidetrack to the Grand Canyon, Flagstaff, Sedona.
So, a little more information about your trip would be helpful.

Yes ideas for the different locations would be great. In LA we will take the kids to legoland, Disney, and maybe Universal studios and would love some beach time.
We would like to go for a brief trip to the grand canyon, but not sure of north vs. south. Sedona would be nice as well. We can figure out Las Vegas and I know the drive in between LA and Las Vegas is uneventful and we are prepared for that.
Thanks.
So basically any other ideas for LA? Ideas from trip to Las Vegas to Arizona with side trips is fine. We only have a few days on the leg of the trip after Vegas.

Michelemiz, you plan to do Legoland, Disney, Universal Studios and the beach all in 3 days? (March 27, 28 and 29) and then drive to Phoenix from Las Vegas (maximum also 3 days (March 31, April 1 and 2). I think you're just planning too much. At MOST, you could do Legoland one day and Disney one day, then spend a day around some beach towns (although it won't necessarily be beach weather, but the towns are still nice).
How long are you going to be in Vegas (in other words, when are you leaving Vegas for the drive to Phoenix)?

You won't be able to go to North Rim of GC in March, it doesn't open until Mid May. Near Vegas are Red Rock Canyon, pretty scenery, small Visitor's Center, a place for the kids to get out of the car and explore.
Between Vegas and south rim of GC is Hoover Dam, and Lake Meade, the kids might like to go on a boat ride there maybe even a dam tour.
Do hike down a little way into Grand Canyon if it isn't icy. There may be elk and deer in the park for them to see.
