Long Beach question
There was a building in Long Beach Calif, around 1992, that was located on the northeastern corner of 7th street and Cherry Avenue called "The Speakeasy". do any locals know what that was, or if it still exists. I think I heard that it was a fine nightclub, but just wanted to make sure of it.

The only bar I can think of in that vicinity is Que Sera, which used to be a *ahem* ladies' club (Melissa Etheridge got her start here, legend has it). It's kinda a grungy Goth bar now, but still has live music and Djs and stuff. And it's always been called Que Sera.
I wouldn't call it "fine" as much as "loud, drunken and boisterous". Which could be fun on a Saturday night, I suppose.

well, i dont know if it was a bar. all i know is it was located on the northeastern intersection of 7th avenue and cherry avenue in Long Beach. There was a black & white painted marqee that said "Speakeasy". Im not sure what exists at this intersection today, but in 1992 thats what was located there.
