Long Beach guidance/suggestions needed for tomorrow!

Hello. I am taking my elderly parents and aunt to a performance tomorrow evening at The Carpenter Performing Arts Center 6200 E. Atherton St. Long Beach, CA 90815 - We will be driving there from our Airbnb in Claremont, CA. The performance is at 8pm and I am trying to figure out the following:

1) If we go earlier in the day what would be worthwhile to see in that area with elderly folks that can't do a lot of walking and are also sensitive to wind and cold (so won't last long on the beach)?

2) What would be a recommended restaurant (not expensive) for the dinner before the performance? The elderly members of the group can't handle anything hot spicy at all, so cuisines that use jalapeno peppers or Indian or Asian hot spices or anything made with hot sauce etc. is sadly out of the question for this group.

3) Is there any free parking near the Carpenter Performing Arts Center? I'm covering the cost of all the activities and it would be really helpful if I can save a bit on parking fees

Thank you in advance!
