Lodging in Greenwich Village

Any suggestions for inns or small hotels that are nice in the village?

There aren't many hotels in the area. There is the Washington Sq. hotel located right off of Washington Sq. park. It's a great location but I think the hotel is mediocre. Another small hotel in the area is the Larchmont, on a quiet residential street, just a few blocks from the park, also a greta location. This gets better reviews than the Wash. Sq hotel but it has shared baths. There are also some apartment type accommodations in the area, but I don't know anything about them. You can check tripadvisor for comments on the hotels I mentioned.

I've stayed at the Wash Sq. Hotel and thought it was quite nice. Our particular room was a little on the small side but the furnishings, etc. were lovely. Very close to a ton of restaurants.

We recently stayed at The Inn on 23rd Street, a delightful 14 bedroom inn that is family run located in the Chelsea district, very close to the village. See at www.innon23rd.com and read the reviews at www.tripadvisor.com - We very much enjoyed this inn, lovely breakfast included in the price and short walk to the tube. Would stay their again.
