Lodging in Chattanooga near Aquarium help

I am going to see Ron White in Chattanooga in November with DH and another couple. We want to stay close to the Aquarium as well as the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Auditorium (although being closer to the Aquarium is more important). Since the show will end late Saturday evening, we decided to stay overnight.

The only problem is, living in Atlanta, I have never needed to stay overnight in Chattanooga and do not have any idea where to stay. I have found a Hilton Garden Inn, Marriott, Residence Inn and a Courtyard Marriott. I think the Marriott is further away than the other three. Given this, which of those three is the nicest? Or is there a better place to stay?

Thanks in advance for your help.

If my logistics are correct, The Courtyard Marriott is the closest to the aquarium...then, I believe the Residence Inn and Hilton Garden Inn are side by side..just the next street over.
Yes, you are correct, The Marriott is further away than the others, but Chattanooga has a great complimentary shuttle that picks up right outside the Marriott. Still even further, but a nice place to stay overnight in Chattanooga is The Chattanoogan.
Honestly, I don't think you can go wrong with any of them.
Have fun.

Hi. We stayed at the Marriot...it is further away, but we used the shuttle and it was fine.

Hi, we stayed at the Residence Inn and it was great. Good free breakfast in the morning, a spacious suite, plentiful parking, good location (just 2-3 minute walk to aquarium) and quiet. No complaints at all.

Thanks for the replies everyone. The hardest trips for me seem to be the ones closest to my house. LOL

The Marriott is further from the main downtown area and not very convenient to the aquarium and restaurants-- especially in comparison to the other places you mentioned. Also, the Marriott is much older than the other three which are relatively new.
If you are interested in a non-chain hotel, the Read House is a historic hotel that is quite nice. It is a bit farther from the Aquarium.

I think the Read House is under renovation. And, the last time we were there it wasn't so great. Plus, it's almost as far away as The Marriott.

As stated, I know that the Marriott is further away. I have also heard horrid things from friends who stayed at the Read House that is why I did not include it.

The Read House was purchased by Sheraton and has just completed a major overhaul. Checkout their website: www.readhousehotel.com. Looks very nice and updated!!

Also, the Clarion is just across the street from the aquarium. You might check it out as well. They also have a package deal available with tickets.

I live in Atlanta too. We stay at The Chattanoogan when we visit Chattanooga. It's much nicer than the Hilton, Marriott Residence, etc.

My husband and I drove up to Chatt. about a year ago and stayed at the Clarion. It was just ok--basically like a Ramada...
