Lodge at Pebble or Inn at Spanish

Pros and Cons of the two. 4 guys golfing, eating and drinking. Inn at SB slightly less expensive. Playing both PB and SB - which would you choose and why?
Thanks

Do you get a better discount on greens fees at either?

If it's a toss up, I'd pick Pebble, if only for the history.

SB has nicer, newer rooms with the ocean side of the hotel having fabulous rooms. A few years ago SB was rated best resort in the U.S. two years in a row. However, PB is a landmark. The rooms are dated, but well maintained and classic. I personally prefer the restaurants at PB. The Tap Room has tremendous atmosphere and excellent food.

Thanks for the responses -and, oh yeah, this is going to be great!!!!
Anybody know about room size - as we're two guys and thus two beds to a room, size will matter.

We have stayed at both several times and I think for four guys you might find ISB a better location. However, both are great places. If one is that much cheaper than I would stay there.

As stated prior, ISB is newer with more modern rooms. There are probably more rooms with better views at ISB. But the views at PBL from some rooms are more awesome.

I have never stayed in a room with two beds. ISB is probably more cookie cutter rooms than PBL. All the rooms are rather large, but the one we had at PBL huge. PBL has wood burning fireplaces where ISB has gas.

I felt the food was better at ISB than PBL, but could just be a matter of choice.

You will not go wrong at either location.
