Oh sigh, I do miss NY when I read threads like this
Lunch/Lobster Roll on the Montauk Highwy in Amagansett NY. Set in the dunes on the beach, screened porches to eat in, big hot dog rolls stuffed with cold lobster and mayo with hot french fries on the side and an ice cold Coke/beer to wash it down with, after a morning on the beach..

The only way to have it is cold lobster meat on a toasted hot dog roll, w/ a little crisp lettuce!!!

The most exquisite thing about a lobster roll is the contrast between the chilled lobster salad and the warm buttery toasted roll. A lettuce leaf should go in there too.
