Little Cabin in the Woods?
Thanks for replies, I would indeed like to know about cabins in the immdeiate area of Missouri and Arkansas, but I am assembling ideas for restful spots anywhere. We have family out East whom we visit and want to take a trip out West.
But I'm curious...why was I not able to post this response on the original query? Is there some restriction about the poster adding something further? Strange...never had it happen before on Fodors talk.

It's hard to know if those from your neck of the woods really mean "west" when they write it, but:

Hi Bill,
You might look at www.buffaloriver.com. It's the website for the Buffalo Outdoor Center in Ponca, AR. They have many cabins to rent. I don't know about long-term rentals. A friend of ours owns the operation and I highly recommend his properties.
Also, looking on into Arkansas, check out Petit Jean Mountain State Park. It's south of Harrison, near Russellville. I haven't been there, but several families around here return there year after year.
Have you looked around Eureka Springs? I don't know what they might have that's secluded. But it's worth a look.
Good luck and just ask if you have any more questions.
