Limo service from SFO to Union Square hotel

My wife and I should arrive at about 7:30 - 8:00 PM on a Wednesday evening and would like to have a not terribly expensive hassle free ride to our hotel near Union Square. Any limo service recommendations? Thanks.

I'd just take a cab.

I'd just take BART and walk but maybe being older and having done it before makes a difference.

I'd take BART myself, but for someone who wants a door-to-door -- then I'd just take a cab.

Some reason you don't want to take a taxi?

I live in San Francisco and never take taxis from the airport. I find taxi drivers will often race to downtown because they have a certain amount of time to be able to get back to the airport without having to pay an additional fee and that makes for very unsafe driving.

If we don't take BART, we often use the limo service provided by SuperShuttle. It's called execucar, and you can book it in advance to the super subtle shuttle site. I believe it's a $65 flat fee. There are discounts for AAA membership.

If you're comfortable using Uber, uber also has a black car service but I believe it's more like 75 or $80 from the airport to downtown.

We take Uber to and from the airport -- about $28 from our home to the airport (not Uber Black Car service, just a regular UberX), which is about half the cost of a taxi. Done it many times and it's never gone wrong.

Thanks for the replies. This trip is to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary so I thought it might be a nice splurge to have a driver meet us at baggage claim. Not sure it's worth the $90 plus tip for that service when there are so many options that are a lot cheaper. Again, thanks for the info.

Spend your money on a nice restaurant or two rather than on a limo, IMO

I splurged on a limo--it was a fancy sedan, actually--for a big birthday trip once, and I can't say it was really worth it, however you define worth. It wasn't more convenient than a taxi; the car was nicer, and that's about it.

On a few trips to other (mostly European) cities I was able to find a limo service for just about the same cost as a taxi - but it doesn't look like that will happen this time. Oh well. Thanks again for the help.
