LMF -
I have been following your hurricane posts, as well as others, during the last several weeks, checking in daily to make sure everyone is okay. What sad news to learn that your husband has passed.
My deepest sympathy to you for such a loss, especially during this time of stress. I hope you find comfort knowing there is a wide circle of friends, most you have never met, who send there care and concern your way. Peace.

I've often read your posts and loved your advice. I looked for your response after Frances and prayed you were riding it out.
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I hope you can get some comfort knowing how many friends you have here and how we share in your sorrow.

LMS, as others have posted, I too have enjoyed reading your intelligent, well-written sage advice and responses. Words are completely inadequate at sad times such as these but be assured hundreds of cyber friends are thinking about you and your family wishing we could do something to help. May this message in some way convey heartfelt sympathy.

LMF,
It's amazing that we can all offer each other travel advice and never meet, yet still feel like we know each other.
Our personalities come out in our posts, and we know so much about each others' lives.
When the hurricanes are heading toward us or there are personal triumphs or tragedies, we can always count on our "fodors family" for words of support, wisdom and comfort.
These are tough times for you, but this too will pass. We'll all keep you in our thoughts and prayers, and look forward to the end of hurricane season and happier times ahead for you.

We fodorites should feel honored that LMF opened up and shared this intimate, painful news with us so soon. It says alot about the quality of relationships that can be formed here on this "anonymous" forum. LMF, may God comfort you and surround you with love, his love and the love of others, during this difficult time.

I am so sorry for your loss.
Keep on posting here if you need to talk to someone. We're all listening.
And Fodors, LilMsFoodie always gives great travel advice - especially for us Sanibel lovers - so don't you dare delete this thread!

LilMsFoodie-I also read the "Saying Goodbye" post and had to read it several times to make sure what I was seeing. I am so sorry for your loss. I know that nothing we can all say will ease the pain but please know that everyone is thinking of you. May your family, friends and God's love surround you during this difficult time.

Oh, my, how awful... I am so sorry about your husband's passing. It's horrible that you are in the midst of hurricane trouble, too. You and your family have my deepest sympathy. I will be thinking of you. Take care.

I too opened this post and read the thread in disbelief. I went back and read the "Saying Goodbye" thread, hardly able to breathe.
LMS, please accept my deepest sympathy and consider yourself hugged by a cyberfriend in California. My thoughts are with you.
