Le Parker Meridien Hotel, NYC

Would you recommend this hotel?

I am traveling in early july and have found a great rate, but wanted to see what other travelers thought before I booked a room.

Thank you.

can't say anything for the hotel, but i can definitely vouch for the Burger Joint that's in it. i'm not even much of a red meat eater and i'm addicted to that place. i'd stay at the hotel just for the access to it.

It's a popular place in a great location. They have a swimming pool which is not typical in NYC. However, for what it's worth, it is a Priceline hotel. Check tripadvisor.com for reviews.

Best burgers in NYC.
Very funky rooms. We had a suite with our kids. Flat screen tv that swiveled on a pillar, funky shower, everything is new and retro and very cool. Fun experience. The restaurant for breakfast is also great but not cheap. Worth it to try once. We would definitely stay here again. Great for walking.

We've stayed there many times booking directly and with Hotwire. Rooms are spacious and very, very modern. We love the place. Depending upon availability, you can usually upgrade to a suite on very high floor with a glorious view of Central Park or Midtown for no charge or a nominal extra per night.

My only big quibble with this place is the infrared mini-bar - huge yellow ribbon indicating that if you touch anything you pay for it.

As some on TripAdvisor say, it's nice enough but I wouldn't pay extra to stay there either. But, I've been really lucky with Priceline lately.

Just spent last weekend there - $199 per night. Good location near Central Park, 5th Ave yada yada - Room was OK (very small bathroom) with CP View BUT here's the point - you're in NYC!!! how much time are you going to spend in the hotel?? The hotel is clean, functional - we even saw a few Hollywood stars and actors in the lobby - there's just too much to do in NYC to really worry too much about a hotel - if you got a good deal then take it and spend the savings elsewhere.
