Last minute broadway tickets and show
Hello. We are traveling to NY next week (3/1-3/4).
We haven't been able to agree on a broadway show, so haven't gotten early tickets. Please help.
Should we wait until we get there and take what we can get at the TKTS, or try to get advanced seats with only a week?
Also, our conflicting tastes are:
I like Les Miz, and he likes Spring Awakening. He thinks Les Miz is too old and wants to see something newer. I cannot handle issues in Spring Awakening.
Since we have ruled eachother out on those two, do you recomment any other choices that would blend each of our personalities?
Thank you for your time!

No one can say what you should do. Your options are buy online or by phone now (either with discounts or not) OR, to wait til you get here and
>go to TKTS booth
>go to box office with print out of discount codes that might be on broadwaybox.com or elsewhere
>go to box office and pay full price
>go to theater on the day and try for lottery tickets if the show has them.
I can't remember who the "we" is but there are loads of other options besides these 2 shows and you got most of them in your previous post on the subject. If you're both adults, it's also possible that rather than a compromise for both of you, you can split up and both see what you want to see and meet after the show. You also often get much better seats as a single.

I am really not good at remembering the important facts in the post! The "we" is my husband and I. Also, I should have mentioned, Jersey Boys is sold out from what we can tell. You are right, there are a lot of replies on the other post. Thanks!

Considering that your show tastes and his show tastes are in such conflict, it's tough to come up with a possible "compromise." How about Hairspray,Chicago, Avenue Q or The Drowsy Chaperone? All four have discount offers on broadwaybox.com or playbill.com.

You're coming at a good time- lots of Broadway discounts are available right now.
In addition to those mentioned already, the Season of Savings program is still running. You can check out commercials from some participating shows online, so perhaps that will help you decide? www.seasonofsavings.com
Regardless of how you buy them, I would definitely suggest that you buy them in advance!
