We've stayed in most of the strip casinos and we like Belagio and TI. They both have nice suites and decent pools (Belagio especially). Because you will have a child with you, you might want to check with the hotel I've heard that some of the casinos don't allow children as guests, and of course they re never allowed on the actual casino floor.

We had a family vacation in Vegas last year - me, my husband, my mother-in-law and father-in-law.

Stayed at the Venetian and just loved it. You get so much for what you pay. The property is beautiful and one can spend an entier day just roaming inside - the shops, restaurants, etc.

Also stayed at Caesar's Palace on another family vacation. THe rooms are not as nice. But the property is very beautiful - just as beautiful at Venetian and room rates are cheaper.

Have fun!

Flamingo has a good location and a good pool, and is a little cheaper than the other suggestions. Monte Carlo might also be a good option.

If you want information about pools, check out http://www.vegashotelpools.com

Most casinos allow kids...for a price!(Note; Kids aren't allowed to gamble but they are allowed on the casino floor of hotels that require you to walk through the casino to get to your room or restaurant...)

The Bellagio for example charges about $50 a night per extra person regardless of age.

We are a family of 4 and we stayed at the Paris Hotel which doesn't charge for children. We liked the hotel, the pool and the view of the Bellagio fountains. The casino is pretty too with high painted ceilings.

There are no hotels on the strip that disallow children. They're not allowed in the casino, except to pass through on the sidelines to get to restaurants or in and out the door. Mandalay Bay has nice pools for the six year-old. There is a Four Seasons on the top that our family has really enjoyed.

Thanks Ttess for that info.

We received notices from TI a while back saying that they had decided to "go adult" and would not accept guests under 18. They also mentioned that the servers at the pool area (bar/cabana) would be toppless.

There was never a date associated and I hadn't heard if they went thru with it or not. So I guess it's "safe" to take a child there now.
