Can't go wrong with the Mirage - nice rooms (a bit overpriced), fab location and plenty to see and do in the hotel. The Venetian and Paris are great but more expensive, and for value, MGM and Luxor can't be beat.

If money is a concern and you'd like to be on center strip, I highly recommend the Flamingo if you can get the $55 rate I just did. I really it's an enormous property and the rooms vary greatly, but I was very impressed with the accommodations and the service.

Good to hear that about the Flamingo. We stayed at Bally's and the rooms were huge, the location was perfect, but the pool was awful. The Flamingo pool was much more exciting (and BIG)! We'll probably stay there next time.
I also loved the Bellagio (great rooms, great service and fantastic pool) but pricey. And Caesars, though I didn't stay in the rooms, the other ammenities were great.
