Las Vegas: Venetian or Palazzo?

Have received an offer for $159/night with 2 tix to Phantom, $25 slot player and other goodies...Which place should we stay the second week of Dec.? Any and all advice welcome. Thank you in advance.

only since you have such a good offer I'd probably go with the Venetian in the newer tower or Palazzo if they couldn't guarantee the tower. Honestly I won't stay at either any more as have found the service and cleanliness to be dismal at best but that is a good price

Not a fan of the Venetian and I always go to the Wynn and that is $109 midweek and $159 Fri/Sat with a free suite upgrade and $$ of slot play/food credit till the end of December..sign up for their e-mail..
The hotel is gorgeous and the rooms are truly 5*..food is unbelievable too!
Remember new is everything in Vegas so I would do the Palazzo vs. the V.

After my experience this last week I'd go with the hotel with the best spa. Soak away the morning, take a nap and get ready for the night. I'm sure both of your choices would have lovely spas but I'd compare prices and amenities. My daypass at the Encore was only $30.

I stayed at the Encore last June and loved it! Ate at a few of the restos and really thought the spa was the best one i've been to in vegas

The Venetian continues to be one of my favorite hotels on the strip (although the Wynn tops all!), and is very convenient if you know that you're going to see the Phantom. The rooms start at 650 square feet, which make them among the largest in Vegas The only complaint I have is that the air is extremely perfumed and can get a little overwhelming at times.

Here's a good resource for choosing LV hotels, they have very detailed reviews of every property: http://www.oyster.com/las-vegas/hotels/.

If you can get the same rate for the Palazzo as you can for the Venetian, definitely go with the Palazzo. It is new and very nice. Although it has its own checkin, pool and casino, it is connected to the Venetian.

I really enjoyed my stay at the Venetian. Really fun hotel, and the food at the Grand Lux Cafe is wonderful.
