I would not recommend Exacalibur but they are currently running some great deals. I also would not recommend Stratosphere due to its very poor location. As noted above, and for a slight notch above these, try Flamingo or Bally's.

Out of your three, I would pick a Trop tower room. Yes, ditto on the Flamingo and Bally's. The Flam has a better pool than Bally's.

I survived the Stratosphere! It was the convention hotel of choice for my budget-minded friends. I was alone for the first day but used the trolley to get to the Fashion Show Mall. Otherwise, a convention shuttle bus was our means of transportation. I agree, the location is very poor. All the exciting things are down near Treasure Island. If you want to walk from casino to casino, it's not the place. I thought the Stratosphere buffet was decent and enjoyed the breakfast restaurant. After seeing Le Reve one night we took a cab back. The beds were fine. Staff were fine. Didn't have time for the spa or pool. I think the location is the biggest reason for opting not to stay at the Stratosphere.
