Las Vegas Hair style

Yes I know it is trivial and silly but maybe some nice people will clue me in. Last time I went to Las Vegas my hair seemed to look gunky as if it had a film in it or something. Can anybody please give me tips on how they keep their hair looking nice. I do want it to look nice for the various shows we will be attending. Thanks a million!

Don't use goop and gel and hair spray in your hair. Las vegas is a windy city. Then again many have high hair there lol

It's the dense smoke in the casinos and the ultra dry (low humidity) air, Viv.
The more goop you put in your hair, the more it attracts the filth from the air.
Wash it frequently.

Viv, yes you have ask a trivial question but we shall try to answer as best we can. First, stop wearing bee hive hairdos that require 1/2 a can of hair spray twice a day. Stop getting your hair set the first day in Vegas and expect it to look nice until your last day in Vegas while you weight it down with hair spray. Get a simple easy to care for hair cut that can be washed several times a week. Before I would go anywhere with my hair looking gunky and filmy I'd pour a can of budweider over it first, couldn't hurt it at all.

It's all in the products! If you have a good and up to date hairdresser, just ask her what she recommends; her favorite line will surely have something to suit your needs. Just remember that vegas has low humidity...which is a great bonus if you have a slight natural curl that tends to reappear after 15 min of a blow dry style. Hairspray can really attract dirt and smoke, after 13 years of doing hair my all time recommend is Shaper ...not shaper PLUs (too stiff). It leaves your style touchable but gives a good hold and has no fragrance. It's my very favorite for doing wedding styles and all glamor do's.
