Las Vegas Eats
I am going to Vegas in a couple of weeks for work. My evenings are free and looking for some good places to eat. Not too expensive, (<$30 per person). Any suggestions. Also looking for some family style entertainment in the evening. Any luck?

I have been all around the world and I enjoyed a great prime rib in a place I wasn't expecting to at all. The Prime Rib Loft is located at the Orleans Casino. It is just a few steps above the casino floor. The service was great and the prime rib was one of the best if not the best I have ever had. My father in law who is very tough to please went there twice in 6 days.

Family style entertainment: Lance Burton (magician)at the Monte Carlo. I am not a Cirque de Soleil fan but Mystere (T.I.)is also a consideration. I am assuming you mean kids when you say family style - depending on age of kids there is also Hairspray (Luxor)and Mamma Mia (Mandalay Bay).
If you don't have a PF Chang's in your home town try the one at the Aladdin. It's well within your budget. For total fun try Hofbrauhaus (at Paradise and Harmon, behind the strip). It's German food, lots of noise, music, etc. and very reasonable. Maggiano's (Italian) is on the second level of the Fashion Show Mall. Most of the buffets are in your price range and while I don't care for buffets most of the ones in the major hotels get high marks.

I liked Il Fornai at NY NY, although I just had breakfast and lunch there. I also liked Monte Carlo Brewery and you should have no trouble sticking to your budget there. Also, I did like the buffet at the Orleans and the Palms. My daughter and I liked Mon Ami Gabi at Paris, but that could be at the high end of your budget. Depends on how/ what you order. I also really liked the Lance Burton magic show as did my teenage son and husband.
