We are always there and we go to the Historic Strasburg Inn Just off rt 30 theres a great breakfast included and2 wonderful on site restaurants, we love the By Geroge Tavern, located in the hotel. It is close to shopping and site seeing and the famous Strasburg Rail Road. Another great place to eat is the Revere Tavern, just a few miles down the road! have fun its one of our favorite long weekend places to go all year round.

Hi Tina,
We stayed at the Bird-in-Hand Family Inn in December 2000, paying something like $60/night. Rooms in the back building were better (we thought), and the inn has heated indoor pools and a game room. Their website is (was?) www.bird-in-hand.com.
If your kids are into trains, Strasburg has the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania plus some model rail displays (can't remember their names - Choo Choo Barn?)A farmers' market such as the Green Dragon in Ephrata (Friday?)and a buggy ride might also be fun. There are amusement parks such as Dutch Wonderland and Hersheypark, but i don't think they're operating in December.
