Is the Bluewater Brewpub still open in Tahoe City? It has been 5-6 years since I was there but really enjoyed the hospitality and of course, the beer!!!

Use the excellent search engine, called Google at:

Then, type in your search words. In your case they would be:

Your answer will magically appear along with current details of hours/rules/etc.

Unfortunately, even when places go out of business, google can still magically bring up the location and hours of operation. That's probably why the traveler came to Fodor's for some first-hand information.

traveler: do you know of any good places to stay near Tahoe City. We'd like to see the lake and do some hiking, nothing fancy.

Just about 2 miles south of Tahoe City is Sunnyside Resort. Right on the lake side of the road. Happy hour on the outside deck is great lots of people and boat watching. I've stayed there and really liked it.

Haven't stayed at Peppertree Lodge but it's right in Tahoe City.
