if i had to -jake's, because i know the exec chef. but i still refuse to go there. overpriced & waste of money.

Garwoods. The food is fine. But anyone who goes and doesn't have at least one "Wet Woodie" just hasn't been to Tahoe. But of course, anyone who has a couple may not even know he's AT Tahoe!

I like Jake's. Not really a foodie place, but we've had some nice meals there. To me, it's the nicest in Tahoe City: decent food, pleasant outside dining, decent service, good drinks, decent value. We were there a few weeks ago - not pretentious, a come-as-you-are kind of place.
