lake george area - 2 families
we're looking to go to the lake george area with our friends this labor day weekend
we have a 2 year old and a 5 month old, and our friends have a 5 year old and a 3 year old...
any suggestions on where to stay?

Any place you can find that still has room.
Seriously - that is a super busy weekend for vacationers - and there is still racing at Saratoga - with many of the overflow patrons staying in Lake George.
I'm afraid you may find most places booked solid unless you go somewhere north of Lake George.

You are really going to be scraping the bottom of the barrel as far as lodging on labor day weekend. You are way too late to book anything decent. The only thing I can suggest is that you look at www.vrbo.com and consider renting a house somewhere near lake george or the berkshires.

Hi Ilona,
Lake George is a great place, and if there are still rooms available you might want to look into the sundowner motel on Canada St. Their rates are reasonable and the location is good. They have private access to the lake, a kiddie pool, an adult pool and an indoor and outdoor jacuzzi. There is a 1-800# on their site give them a ring to see if there's anything free, you might luck out.
