Kona Seaside Hotel
Has anyone stayed here ? Is it pleasant, clean, and convenient enough ? It gets a good review in Big Island Revealed and is certainly economical.

We stayed there for our first night in Kona (got in on a late flight) and it was clean and serviceable. Good location for shopping on Alihi Drive.

The seaside hotels are the local version of Motel 6..clean rooms with very basic furnishings. Perfectly decent, but often quite noisy, especially since they have jalousie (louvered) windows theat open onto the outside walkways. The Kona Seaside is a a very convenient location.

Stayed there few years ago. Looked like a condo remodeled into a hotel.

I prefer the Hilo Hiwaiian.

For a cozy place and economical I stay at the Dolphin Bay Hotel.
