Kauai - Splitting Time Between North and South
My wife and I are planning a trip with our two kids in late May/very early June and will be staying for about 10 nights. I'm torn between North and South, both look great, so I'm considering splitting time, 5 nights each. Is this enough time in each area? I realize we'll never do everything, but enough time to soak in each area and experience them?
We'll probably say at Poipu shores in the South and Pua Poa in the North, so any experience or opinions on those locations would be great too.
Thanks!
Jeff

We have split time on Kauai, and it works nicely for us. As a matter of fact we will be spending 5 nights in Princeville and 3 in Poipu the first week of March. I do not know either of your properties, but can support your decision to split time.

I think it's enough time in each area. I also recommend renting a car if you haven't already planned this. The roads are great, and you can easily travel across most of the island. We rented via Alamo and got a very reasonable quote including full insurance with zero excess.

Splitting your time on each side is actually the way I always recommend to see Kauai.
. For my wedding, we did half in Poipu and the other in Hanalei. It was perfect. The island isn't that big, so 5 days on each side will offer you plenty to see and do. Have an amazing time!
