I prefer to believe that there are no bathrooms in the subway.

The ones at Grand Central Terminal are not that bad, but not that good either...

Saw that article this morning. Decided not to read it or look at the pictures.

Fra: Yeah, I took one for the team by looking. And reading, about the aromas, which I could have imagined. Much be a lot worse than those semi-isolated corners on track level...

Maybe the pied-à-terre tax will help install some new bathrooms, or fix up the old ones! Somehow I doubt it, however. Glad for the tax, however.

Wish I hadn't looked. Beyond disgusting.

I got myself an online subscription to the NYT a couple of days ago & was about to look. Now the plan is to avoid looking. Hope I don't stumble across it inadvertently.

I have taken over 15,000 subway rides and have read the NY Times since I was 12 years old. Just pretend that you were six years old, and your mother just asked you, "Are you are sure you don't have to go?"

Yes!!! But imagine if you had some kind of stomach "event" and you were stuck?? Cannot even bear to think of that. Hence the Depends idea!

If I had a "stomach event" I would get off at the next stop and look for a place that has a bathroom.

I doubt that's what the makers of Depends have in mind for their product. But what do I know. I think I'd visit the worst possible facility (have on trains in Asia) rather than carry the "event" around with me.
