Kauai dining with kids
We leave for our Hawaii holiday in 1 week, Can't wait! We will be in Kauai for 1 week and have a condo rented. Just wondering which restaurants should not be missed? Need to be appropriate for 7 & 11 year old boys. We don't plan on eating out constantly, so want the highlights.

Dolphin, zelo's or Hannelei Gourmet on the north shore are great - Beamreach, if still in business was also good. For the kids - Brenneke's on Poipu is fun for lunch or late afternoon snacks. They will love Bubba's - just burgers and such but really fun. Get an official Bubba's tee shirt!

I agree with BRennecke's on Poipu. Great place to go after snorkelling on Poipu Beach. Very open air atmosphere and good food. It is one of my favorite places onthe south shore. Stop and get ice cream at Lappert's inOld Koloa town on the way to Poipu.

Duke's at the Marriott in Lihue is fun, Hawaiian-style (with lots of surfer-tiki decor and an indoor waterfall), kid-friendly, and has good food that will make everyone happy--burgers for the kids, steak/seafood for you. Your boys will think it's a blast.
