Kauai activity advice

Which one is the best luau in Kauai in terms of the accuracy of hawaiian culture?
Which company provides the best tour with the best snorkel spots for Napa Li Coast? And how long do you think the drive is to Waimea Canyon from the Hyatt in Poipu? i plan to drive out there rather than take a tour, do u think that's recommended?

As a Kaua`i resident, I recommend:

Lu`au: Smith's Garden Lu`au
http://www.smithskauai.com/luau.html

Snorkel tour: Hawaiian-owned Catamaran Kahanu
http://www.catamarankahanu.com/index2.html

A non-stop drive from Po`ipu to the Kalalau Lookout (top of Waimea Canyon), should take you no more than an hour -- but you'll want to stop along the way to
enjoy those splendid views!

I've done the Holoholo trip to Napali and Niha`u. We had a great time. It's a long day, and I would have preferred more time snorkeling, but I'm glad we did it. They said the visibility was 100 feet that day and I have never seen so many schools of fish. The trip back was ROUGH and LONG and I eventually got ill. I took this herbal remedy that obviously did not work. I would not do the trip again, but thought it was a great way to spend a day in paradise.

haha... iamq, ur post is very contradicting but i totally understand your reasoning. I too went on a snorkel trip to Lana'i in Maui, loved the snorkeling and dolphin part of the trip, but got so sick on teh way back, not only that, the wind blew so hard on my face and hair, my hair got really nasty from the wind, salt water and lack of combing. it was a horrible journey. but i really loved the snorkeling part. and it was very cheap. but if i do the holoholo trip, it's not exactly cheap. $169+tax. hmmmm... do u recall how many ppl were on the charter?
