2 days in Kauai

We will be at the Hyatt for 2 nights. What should we do? I want to enjoy the Hyatt but want to go to either the canyon or Napali Coast. Any suggestions ?? How about a good snokeling trip? Reasonable Resturants??

Thanks So Much
Marybeth

Marybeth, you will need to take a helicopter tour to really see the Napali Coast. I would at least drive to the North Shore and see how gorgeous it is. Or you could do a drive up to Waimea Canyon, weather permitting. You mention that you have just two nights at the Hyatt, so I can't imagine you will have time to do both, and still have much time left to enjoy your hotel. What time of day will you arrive and depart Kauai? You might want to go to alternativehawaii.com and look at the photos and other info on Kauai there to help you make your decision. Good luck with your planning!

Why can't you do both -- in one day.

In the morning, drive to Waimea and up the canyon -- spend a few hours (3-4) driving around all the Canyon roads/stops. On the way back, stop at Waimea Brewery for a pint, then the Shrimp Station in Wanimea for lunch, then head down the road to Port Allen and take the Holoholo catamaran (3-3:30) for their sunset cruise to Napali -- spectacular. We thoroughly enjoyed it. This will take one day. The other day is on your own.

You're right, Budman! Forgot about the Catamaran idea! I would usually do one of these activities per day so I could *linger* ... but you don't have to. As to whether there's *another day*, don't know when she's arriving and departing Kauai???

Thanks so much for the ideas I think we can do both. We arrive about 8:30AM and could leave from there or would it be better to do it in 2 half day trips?
I know it really is not enough time to see alot but our daughter lives in Honolulu so we stay with her and go somewhere for the weekend. I have been to Kauai about a 100 years ago in my teens so I don't remember much.

Thank You again Marybeth
