JW Marriott Miami

Just wondering if anyone out there in Fodorsland has stayed at this JW Marriott on Brickell. If so, any comments would be welcome. Thanks.

i think I wrote my review here in the hotel section last June. The hotel room was nice but it is definitely a business hotel in a finance area of Miami. My room was on the Concierge floor and the lounge was Marriott standard, nothing special. Hotel was nice, but the public areas were very generic as was my room. For a business trip, it was fine...if you are staying on points....I'm not sure I'd waste them. There are other places to spend those points....Ritzes, Marriott South Beach, Eden Roc. LMf

I totally agree with the above post. The JW Marriott is nice, but it's definatly a financial-type hotel in a very financial district. Eden Roc is right on the beach in a very nice locale.

We are thinking of spending a few nights here are we need to be close to Key Biscayne. Any other suggestions of nicer places for a couple of nights in the $250/night range?
