JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa???

My Wife and I are planning a trip using some of our Marriott points in March. We saw that there is a new Marriott resort called the Desert ridge resort and spa opening soon in Scottsdale. We were wondering if any locals had any info on the property????? Also this would be our first trip to the area, is there enough to keep us occupied for a full week????

We just stayed at The Lodge of Sonoma in wine country California. I believe it is owned by Marriott. We loved it and there are many things to do. Napa only 10 miles away and San Francisco about 30 miles.

The company I work for owns the Desert Ridge - It is due to open sometime in December. I was in Scottsdale last week and spoke to the broker that put the land deal together. She said it will be her favorite property in the area. She said it is huge and will be first class.

I haven't seen it, but it's getting quite a bit of attention in the local rags. Looks to be tres chic..

There's also another Marriot at Mc Dowell mountain that's very nice.

Have fun!

Priscilla, what are you talking about? Why are you talking about a Napa hotel when the OP asked about Scottsdale?

He open his question with the fact that he wanted to go to a Lodge and use Marriott points. Lodge of Sonoma is owned by Marriott.

Noooooo. The word 'lodge' never appears in either the post title or the body of the message. But he does clearly state that he's specifically interested in the Desert Ridge resort in Scottsdale.

It seems Priscilla needs new eyeglasses, new reading classes, or fewer wine glasses.
