Has anyone seen Julius Caesar with Denzel Washington ? What was your opinion of his performance and the play in general ?

The production did not get very good reviews. However, I guess if you're a fan of Denzel Washington, that probably doesn't matter!

According to the reviews that I have read, the play is a real bomb and Denzel's performance is amaturish.

OK, call me picky. The "play" is not a bomb. And the "play" is a great one, one of Shakespeare's best written, according to some experts. This "production" of the play may be a "bomb", but not the play itself.
There's a seemingly small, but in actuality huge difference between the play and the production of the play.

Anyone out there actually seen the
performance??
