I don't think anyone has mentioned reporter.

As a sportswriter, I was able to travel all over the U.S. and Latin America. A travel writer or news reporter could go just about anywhere.

Though the salary may not be as high as in other fields (no pun intended), the perks are tremendous. And you don't really need a Journalism degree - many editors prefer someone with a Liberal Arts or Humanities background. A second language, particularly Spanish, is a major asset.

My advice is to start at a small/medium-sized paper where you can write about many subjects. Compile a body of work and take it from there.

I think that wine distributor reps travel a great deal. Pharm. sales does too, but those jobs are seriously hard to come by (and tend to go to former beauty pageant queens).
