I only have 1 incriminating pic jet, no worries, it's safe with me since I don't know how to download cellphone pics to the computer!

BTW, mat, those are some very privileged turtles to be blessed with such great names! Wish I could have been there for the release.

Now J, we would NEVER blackmail you.

Oh, and aren't you planning some big surprises and special treats for mat and I when we come to Alaska next summer? . . . . Refer to mat's story about his hot stone massage in Africa and think in that direction!!! ;-)

Joy!
Rapture!
Not one but three amazing trip reporters. Your comraderie, your talk story and stink talk, makes me feel like I was right there with you....and that my friends is truly a gift for which I thank each of you.
Good times indeed!

Sistahlou, that is so kind of you to say. It seems from what you've all said that this is a first - Fodorites meeting for the first time on a trip they took together. Everyone has been so very supportive, and personally, I hope it encourages more such trips in the future. It really was so much fun, but I have a feeling there are many of us that would have a blast traveling together!

If ever the "aloha" spirit has been exhibited, it's right here with these 3 fine friends telling their stories.

mat, it brought tears to my eyes when I read your names for the geckos. I'm guessing they are named after jetset and bayougal? And, what a wonderful feast for your friends on their last night stay with you.

The only thing is mat, you've gone and done it now! You do realize you have set the stage for future fodorites to impose on your hospitality.

Have I missed the link to photos?

Mahalo to you all for taking us to Hawaii with you thru your most wonderful storytelling.

Aloha.....i'2

Here is a link to an earlier post by matnikstym on another forum which includes a couple of pictures that may be appropriate here:

Manikstym: A clarification - My trip is May '07, not March.
It is iceeu2 that will be there in March with her family.

It certainly sounds like you know how to show a couple of gals a good time !

And your joint efforts at this TR makes it especially interesting and funny!

Jetset, now I saw where you said No, no no about the Kehena beach, but you failed to mention anything about your pals....anybody get alittle 'over heated' there? (thought I'd stir this pot abit!).

Mahalo!

LMAO, mat. My sleep deprivation was definitely showing, huh?! But you know how excited I was about the turtles and when you mentioned it, I started thinking about how awesome that was. But yes, I know they're geckos - but my brain cells were already falling asleep and didn't catch that mistake in editing!

Sorry! I'll try to avoid anymore late night . . . uh . . wee hours of the morning postings, folks. ;-)

LoveItaly, it would be an honor to be second to you any day!

Thanks everyone! Glad you are enjoying our trip report, and as you can tell, we did had a fabulous time!

OSB~ you silly goose.. I am one of those who "feel the trip", and not really into the detail sort of reports-
be glad because I'm known around my family circle to give too many details), and more of an observer than:

"well, at 7:13 a.m.from the top floor of our spacious suite where one sliver of wallpaper looked like it's glue had expired ten years prior, my colon betrayed me violently from a luscious dinner(opakapaka)w/pineapple salsa(and delivered by a waitress who has used her botox on the wrong end), washed down with Jose Cuervo after I had limboed up the beach with a comely young man who hailed from the South Pacific and carried an assortment of fragrant oils in his backpack along with a portable massage table and a parrot who told truck stop jokes..

nah, I cut right to the chase, typical "I hate small talk" Aries, hence the "no no no", meaning(are you still awake out there)?

(y) BG was clothed
(Y)matnikstym was clothed
(Y)I was swathed in my 1920's one piecer.

No nude beaches for our trio. BG and I are old faithful wives and mat is just a good guy..

We retain all approval rights for photos posted and stomach side down snorkel shots.. sort of like a blood oath, except to be civilized, I decreed it best to do rum shots and make a solemn oath:

Fodor's pen pals, hear my plea!
No photographs above the knee.
My facial age is twenty eight
Since sixteen, I had gained no weigh.
Our feet were smooth and callous free
Three pedicures supplied by me.
I'd adopt them if I could
We really got along that good!

The only reason I get overheated is from too much roaming imagery on Monday night football. Why oh why did they not designate an official spanker for the team.. just to make sure the uniforms were good quality, of course..

Oh my gosh! How did I miss reading this!!!

Thanks for topping, starrs. I think that's the best trip report I've ever read!! Sounds like it was non-stop fun -- I know it was for me reading it!! LOL

Going to have to attend a GTG one of these days -- feel I'm watching a party from outside the window!

BTW, where are the pic's? I want pictures!!!
