Jersey Boys--Broadwaybox.com

We've never used BroadwayBox.com, but if we want Jersey Boys tickets (as my mother desperately does--I say lets just see Spamalot), then we must consider alternate choices. Looks like we can get good Mezz tickets for May dates in the $219.00 range. Are there any loopholes or catches I should be aware of, or are there better sources to consider?

You are buying from a broker when you buy those seats on broadwaybox. You might want to check www.applause-tickets.com and compare price/seating.

Are you sure you can't get tickets through Telecharge? I'm not sure of your dates, but it looks like there are some side orchestra seats still available in May. These will be the regularly priced tickets, so they'll be much less, if you're looking to save money. For the best seats, however, you'll need to go through a broker or pay premium prices.

All that being said, it's a very hot show, so there may NOT be anything when you can go. But I would definitely try the usual outlets first.

Yes, I've tried telecharge, and, regrettably, there is nothing remaining for our dates--Memorial Day weekend.

Did you look for single tickets on telecharge? You could get two singles if you don't mind not sitting together. I got one for Jersey Boys two weeks before Christmas, and only bought it a week before (on telecharge--face value).

So, it looks like there may be singles still left, and I may even be able to get an "obstructed view" in orchestra for all of us to sit together. They tell me the only real obstruction is the overhead catwalk "scenes" won't be viewable. Any advise? I can get good seats for Drowsy Chaperone, but it's at the Marquis, and I like the idea of the older theaters, since this is my father's first (and probably only) broadway experience.

You really can't go wrong with Jersey Boys. The bulk of the action happens on stage, so I think you'll be fine in obstructed view. You'll have a great time, particularly if you or your parents are at all nostalgic about the 60s era music.
