The exact dates I needed to get me back to Kauai in January opened up with AA, using the minimum FF miles (17,500 each way). Nothing else was open that entire month at that mileage level.

I love staying at Sealodge on the North Shore -- and it looked as if the only way to do it would be to change condos midway through the trip. But ... then I found one with the perfect view--and all my dates available!!

I'm a VERY happy camper as I count the days till I get to go "home" for 23 glorious days. I know the winter weather can be bad -- especially on the North Shore -- but last January, I had gorgeous weather.

But first ... Australia and New Zealand!

Songdoc: Hurray for miracles! Enjoy! I almost picked Kauai for our 2012 anniversary trip to Hawaii just because you love it so much...but we chose the Big Island of Hawaii instead.
