Itinerary Help - options.

Hello, my husband and i are travelling to NYC (from Toronto) for our first time at end of April. Heres what we were thinking in terms of itinerary... looking for input on timing, diners etc... we are staying At the Hilton Garden Inn times square...

Day 1 - arrive in NYC at 10am - figure by the time we get to hotel etc.. will likely by 1-2pm by the time we get moving - we may just do World Trade Centre museum etc that day

Day 2 - Hop on Hop off tour (note ill be 20 weeks pregnant so trying to minimize the crazy amounts of walking - which is why we choose this tour) - probably do Downtown Loop this day with a stop in little italy for some pizza for lunch- suggestions?? - get off at a few stops to explore - and dinner at night (suggestions? maybe seafood?)

Day 3 - Hop on tour again - uptown loop today - lunch at carnegie deli - explore Central Park - and dinner ? (we love food)

Day 4 - our flight leaves NYC at 6:30pm... so dont want to pack too much this day - just explore and see a few things on our own.. maybe some shopping...

any suggestions?? we dont want to pack TOO much in and be completely exhausted... im sure we will be back one day...

No.

All we know is you like food (who doesn't?) and want to shop. WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SEE? What are your interests? Why, other than "because it's there," are you going to NYC?

Well, for me and others, no trip to NYC is complete without seeing a Broadway show...those are what we truly remember long after the vacation is over. Of course the great museums are another reason. The Metropolitan, the Natural History Museum, Hayden Planetarium, and that is just scratching the surface. Despite the hassle, we also love the Empire State Building because of its art deco styling and place in film history. Always enjoy going into Grand Central Station and walking through Times Square and its craziness. Also like the Greenwich Village area and its cozy restaurants.

It does all depend on your interests, however. There is much, much more than you can do in the time you have, so you need to be selective.

For suggestions on places to eat we need to know what cuisine you like - or not - and what your budget is (and please indicate if for entree alone - or whole meal with beverage, tax and tip).

There are some wonderful seafood places but in general they aren;t cheap.

20 weeks pregnant is a little less than 5 months, right? You can walk, in fact, you probably should unless it's crazy hot or cold and icy. (I wouldn't recommend the HOHO buses in New York, because you'll spend a lot of time in traffic, and see things from the top of a double-decker bus instead of actually seeing things.

As for delis, the Carnegie is good, but Katz' and 2nd Avenue Deli are better (IMHO, of course).
