Is walking under Brooklynn Bridge safe?
Just wondering if this Brooklynn bridge broadwalk would be safe for three girls to do together. We would like to see the amazing skyline. What is the best time of the day or should we skip that outing all together? Thanks

Not sure what you mean by walking under the bridge but walking over the bridge, hanging out in the park under the bridge (Bklyn side) and hanging out on the Bklyn Heights promenade next to the bridge are all very safe.I think sunrise, sunset and night are the best times. You could go at sunset, then eat dinner at a cafe in Bklyn Heights, and then walk back across to see the skyline lit up at night. Definitely do it, it's possibly the best view of Manhattan.

It is very safe . Just dont forget to throw salt over your left shoulder, Twirl around 3 times with your eyes closed while chanting Brooklyn Dodgers are # 1 . When you open your eyes nobody will have the guts to go near you. *LOL* Note...This doesnt work if you're from California. *LOL*

Angeleno.... What was the great restaurant rec? We done this during the day and this trip we were planning on doing it at night. Any other restaurant suggestions, preferably something near the bridge itself or the subway stop.
How far is the subway stop from the bridge, we were driven over last time.

If you're talking about going under the bridge on the Brooklyn side, it's hopping with tour buses, so you won't be alone. I live 1 block from the Bridge and have always felt perfectly safe. It used to be spectacular at nighttime, but 2-3 weeks ago they turned off the lights on the bridge (no idea why) so it's no longer impressive after dark...it becomes nearly invisible.
Or, do you mean walking ON the bridge? It's completely PACKED with people except in the mornings and after dark. Though there's still enough people at those times that you'd feel safe.

Nina- I have found that it's typically warmer up on the Bridge than you think it's going to be. I always find myself sweating, taking off my jacket. It's sometimes pretty breezy, but the breeze only feels cold when it's really cold out to begin with.
