Ingo, Welcome to the U.S.A.!!

Hey buddy! Are you packed and ready to go? Have you put your liquids in 3-ounce bottles in the QUART-sized bag? Is your I-pod loaded with tunes of Americana, perhaps a John Philip Sousa march?

Welcome, friend! I wish you and your parents a wonderful trip.

And yes, white tennies are acceptable!!

Happy travels!

Hi All,

Like so many others here, I am eager to hear all about Ingo's visit to the USA. Just to refresh, this was his tentative itinerary, starting on 24 Sep:

4 nights NYC
4 nights stay with friends Hartford/CT
2 nights somewhere in Vermont
4 nights Jackson/NH
2 nights stay with friends at a lake in Maine
4 nights Boston
1 night near airport (Newark) - departure

If anyone has visited with him or spoken with him, please share! Hope he's enjoying his time here.

I got a message from Ingo today. He said he was impressed by NYC (and impressed that he survived it!) but really likes rural New England.

Hi All,

Ingo sent me a greeting with essentially the same information that he gave Grassshopper: survived NYC and is enjoying Conn. He said he's really looking forward to his trip to see the fall foliage, which he's just starting.

Good to hear from him!

Well it looked like we were going to have early foliage, but the warm nights have stalled things a bit. I hope he's with someone who knows where to go. Jackson, NH should be good.

Hi all,

thanks for the welcome greetings!

Yes, survived NYC and was impressed by the city. Not that I would immediately fall in love with it. But I am not a big city guy.

Loved the rural areas in CT, VT and now NH. The foliage is wonderful! It is at peak at the moment here in the White Mountains (as I was told).

Yes, I will attend the Boston GTG. Looking forward to it!

Best regards to my American friends (and btw the people here are amazing).

Ingo

Mimi, when you meet Ingo at the GTG please give him a hug for me. When I was a newbie poster he was a HUGE help in planning my trip to Switzerland. He was one of the first responders to my posts and I still remember that. The kindness he showed me is one of the reasons I got hooked on this board.

Welcome Ingo, I hope you will continue to enjoy your stay in our country.
