inexpensive weekend in Nashville

My husband and I would like to spend a relatively inexpensive weekend in Nashville for our anniversary. My husband has never been to Nashville and it has been years for me. I have reservations for the Best Western on Division St. Is this close to downtown attractions? What attractions are within walking distance of the hotel?

I would recommend visiting the Parthenon and it's museum (across the street from Vanderbilt University. My wife and I went last May and really enjoyed it.

For what you are probably paying for the Best Western, you could get a nicer hotel on Priceline.

Also, don't wait until you get there to buy tickets for a concert or the Grand Ole Opry. Purchase them as soon as you know when you are going. Otherwise, you may be out of luck.

RE: Priceline

Again, as cd said, you didn't state the month. In November I got Sheraton Music City (through Priceline) for $32 a night. I imagine the Best Western you mentioned is much more than that.

It depends on how comfortable you are using Priceline - but go to biddingfortravel.com and click on Tennessee to see what rooms are going for in Nashville when you will be there. Since you said "inexpensive" Priceline.com may be your answer.

In any case, have a great anniversary. Nashville is a wonderful town.
